Cisco Internetwork Troubleshooting
   (CIT)

Course Content

Cisco Internetwork Troubleshooting is an instructor-led, five-day course with
hands-on lab exercises.
The course covers the developments in Cisco IOS Release 11.2 and Catalyst software release 3.1(2a).
CIT 4.0 teaches students how to baseline and troubleshoot an environment using Cisco routers and switches for multiprotocol client hosts and servers connected with the following:

  • Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, and Token Ring LANs
  • Serial, Frame Relay, and ISDN BRI WANs

Course Objectives

This advanced course provides networking professionals with the  troubleshooting processes on Cisco Routers and Catalyst Switches

Who Should Attend

Network systems analysts and maintenance personnel responsible for troubleshooting network problems.

Prerequisites

Prerequisite skills and knowledge the students must possess to fully benefit from the training deliverable must include other Cisco education offerings that the students must complete before beginning CIT:

  • Introduction to Cisco Router Configuration
  • Advanced Cisco Router Configuration
  • Cisco LAN Switch Configuration

Note: Because CIT 4.0 has technical content beyond the router-centric limits of the past CIT courses, students must have LAN switch and Fast Ethernet skills and knowledge.

The graphic shows the proposed curriculum flow with CIT prerequisites.

Students with ICRC and ACRC plus job experience on routers will also need a background in LAN switching technology to be successful in CIT Release 4.0.
