Managing Cisco Network Security
Course objectives
The course teaches students baseline know-how
on installation, configuration, operation and management of Cisco
Secure products and Cisco IOS security features. The emphasis is
on implementing IP network security.
Participants
Network technicians, -administrators or
-supporters (help desk and/or first level supporters) heading for
basic skills on Cisco products for network security. Participants
preparing for Cisco Security Specialist or CCIP certification.
Prerequisites
To make the course highly profitable participants
need to have basic knowledge in networking, as featured in ICND
and BSCI. Students have a minimum of six months hands-on experience
in configuring Cisco router- and dialup-networks. Furthermore students
need to be familiar with basic terminology and concepts for network
security.
