Course Details
HTML and Web Page Design
In this part,
you will learn the basic concepts of Hypertext Markup Language, or HTML. You
will examine HTML; write source code; place text on the page; format text;
create headings and horizontal rule lines; display lists; color Web pages; use
graphics; add hypertext links; and create graphic hyperlinks.
After reviewing the
basics, move on to intermediate HTML skills. Learn to blend text and graphics;
add transparent images and animated images; and use image maps. You will also
create basic forms; add enhanced elements to forms; and add E-mail links.
Finally, you'll create and format tables, and design and format frames.
FrontPage
Part I: You will learn basic web creation and management skills.
You will get started with FrontPage, develop and design webs, create webs with
FrontPage wizards, and customize webs. You will also work with images and
tables; use advanced components; work with frames and To-Do lists; manage webs;
and examine permissions and web publishing.
Part II: This Part expands your FrontPage skills: use tables,
forms, and other advanced features to create sophisticated web sites; learn how
to structure pages by using tables; create forms for user interaction; add
multimedia components; and work with advanced features such as cascading style
sheets. This course meets the Microsoft Proficiency Guidelines for Microsoft
FrontPage at the Expert level.
Using Databases with Front
Page
Students will actively build FrontPage webs that will access the databases.
Dreamweaver
During this course,
you will learn how to create a Web site by importing and formatting text and
images, adding links, creating tables, using frames, and uploading the site to
a remote Web server.
Flash
CSS - Cascading Style Sheets
Whether you use HTML, FrontPage, or XML, stylesheets make designing and
managing your web site easier through managed fonts, formatting, and style. In
this course, you'll learn: advantages and disadvantages of CSS; creating styles
and rules; using class selectors, DIV and SPAN; styling text and font
properties; colors and backgrounds; box (layout) properties; rules of
cascading; positioning, and design & usage tips.
PhotoShop Intro, Tips &
Tricks
In this introductory course, you will
cover the following topics: Photoshop's environment; sizing images; selecting
image areas; manipulating selections; image modes; selecting colors; painting
in color; layers; adjusting images; and saving completed images.
PhotoShop for Web Production
In this course, you will cover the
following topics:
Understanding the Tools, creating Layer
and layer Styles, Creating web Templates using Abode and creating GIF,
Publication. Exporting and saving different formats.
JavaScript
This course
serves as an introduction to JavaScript, a high-level computer language that allows
you to add local scripting to a web page. JavaScript is the scripting language
natively supported by both Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers and
originally developed from Java by Sun Microsystems. Upon successful completion
of this course, you will be able to: understand what JavaScript is, what it can
do, and how it works.
VBScripting
In this part
the student will be taught about the server side scripting.
MS Access / MS SQL SERVER
ASP - Active Server Pages
Students will learn the
benefits of using ASP technology to create dynamic, data-driven Web sites. The
course introduces the ASP Object Model, several built-in ASP Components,
Scripting Objects, and the ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) Model.
